Cancellation Policy

By scheduling an appointment at Spoke & Weal guests agree to our cancellation policy.
A valid credit card is required to schedule an appointment in advance at Spoke & Weal. Guests who cancel within 24-hours of the appointment start time or no-show a scheduled appointment will be charged 50% of the scheduled service(s) total as a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee will be processed to the credit card on file. The fee is not redeemable for services or products and is non-refundable. We do not wish to charge guests who do not come in to see us! To avoid this fee, please cancel prior to the 24-hour window before your appointment begins.

Difference in Pricing Between Team Members?

Team members’ individual session prices are based on level of experience in the industry, technical skills, demand, and personal performance.

Community Pricing

Community pricing is our way of honoring each team members value and also providing a scale for guests who cannot pay the full service prices. Our intention is to meet guests where we both feel good about the exchange. For the most part we simply ask “what price feels good and sustainable for you?”

Our team members do have a range. For example a master stylist charges 250 for their haircut session; they are happy to honor guests at a scale of 150-250.

As things change we talk about it. Maybe full price is great today but circumstances change for your next visit or vice versa. Guests are welcome to move between community services and regular services.

We aim to deliver exceptional services to as many guests as want to see us!

If this is the best option for you, please schedule a “community cut” or “community color”. We will consult at your appointment save your price in our system for next time.

Coily Hair Services

  • Should I come with my hair prior detangled? Yes.
  • Does color service include a deep conditioning treatment? Yes.
  • Is a trim included with custom color rate? No, however a trim/cut can be added on to your service with a stylist easily!
  • Will my coils be damaged during color? High lift color or bleaching may loosen your coils, however we use K18 throughout the services to ensure the integrity of the hair remains.
  • What type of styling is included with custom color service? Wash and go is included, however we offer a custom color with K18 Silk Press finish as a scheduling option.
  • What if I have prior color on my hair? If hair is colored, we suggest a color consultation prior to booking so our color specialist can do a test strand on your hair.
  • Will my coily hair become heat damaged from a silk press? No. What sets our silk press service apart is our use of k18 to ensure we protect the integrity of your curls during the process.  Plus, our stylists are educated and mindful of their use of heat.
  • I never wear my hair straight, do I have to straighten it for the hair cut? No. We may suggest straightening your hair for the best cut possible. However, we’re totally prepared to cut your hair while curly.
  • What are my styling options if I book a haircut without the k18 silk press or the k18 wash & go service? Typically, your stylist will straighten your hair for the best possible cut.  In which case, you’ll be given the option to choose a straight style or a waved style with a hot tool.  Otherwise, you will be shampooed & diffused to allow you to show off your cut and coils.

Agency Model Rates

We provide special rates for select modeling agencies which are extended to models and agents. Lists are updated every year. Rates are for haircut and custom color only. Color correction, extensions, and keratin services are excluded from rates.

Color (Professional Product Line)

Aveda provides the cleanest, most customizable, and most reflective hair color line per our specialists. We choose our professional products based on performance and health. You may have allergies! Dry Cuts

Dry Hair Does Not Lie! We cut hair after it has been cleaned and dried. This way we can manage length and density with more accuracy.

Are men’s haircuts less expensive than women’s?

No. It is illegal to price services based on gender. An excellent men’s cut takes more skill and often more time than cutting long layers. We offer complimentary touch-ups between haircuts for all short cuts.

Touch-ups

We offer complimentary touchups between haircuts for short cuts as well as fringe. Touch-ups are limited to the neckline or the fringe line and one-time between full service haircut appointments. Touch-ups help extend the cut and take 15 minutes in salon!

Extensions

We offer extension services to create volume and length. There are many application options and your service provider will help determine what is best for you! A consultation and deposit is required for extension services.

Keratin Smoothing

We use Uberliss. The Uberliss Keratin Treatment ensures soft, silky, smooth, and shiny hair for 3-4 months. Enriched with Keratin, Buriti, and Cysteine. Keratin treatments do not straighten hair. They limit frizz and may loosen curl.

Consultations

We provide complimentary consultations for cut, color, keratin, extensions, and styling. We require consultations for extensions. If you are new to Spoke & Weal and unsure about who you would like to see or what you would like to do—please take advantage of this service. We want you to find your person!

K18 Treatment

We use a patented K18 treatment during hair processing services and sell the take-home treatments at all of our salons. K18 is clinically proven to repair, strengthen and restore elasticity to damaged hair. Restore Strength ~ On the first treatment, restore strength by up to 85% and more than double the elasticity of the hair. Progressively Restore ~ Progressively restore the strength and elasticity of the hair over 3-4 consecutive applications. Permanently repair ~ Permanently repairs hair damaged by colouring, bleaching, straightening & thermal styling. Won’t wash out ~ Will not wash out even after repeated shampooing, unlike traditional treatments or ‘plex’-type products. Protects hair ~ Protects hair during coloring and bleaching. Achieve stronger and healthier-looking hair.

Styling for events, weddings, runway, editorial

Assistant Program

Hair Models: Education Program

Our assistant team members work on blow-dry, hair color, and haircut models every Wednesday morning. If you would like to be a model for a trainee, please contact the salon. Please note there is a small service charge for color models.
